Santerno inverters talk to the iPhone
A new technological piece developed from the Company of the Carraro Group specializing in power electronics
Verona, May 7 2010 – Santerno, a company of the Carraro Group specializing in power electronics, has presented today the first “App” for iPhone allowing the solar inverter to directly dialogue with the smart-phone by Apple. The first “App” has been presented at Solarexpo in Verona (http://www.solarexpo.com/), the most important European exhibition for photovoltaic applications.

Users can check real-time performance of their PV plants including instantaneous power data, voltage values and solar radiation level directly from their iPhone. The system also provides readout of history data and efficiency charts and offers advanced diagnostics for checking correct operation and monitoring plant failures. The connection is available in wi-fi mode as well, thus enhancing the system flexibility.

Santerno is also embarking on a mobile version of its remote monitoring system called Sunway Portal (http://www.sunwayportal.it) and is thinking about developing a new “App” for smart-phone implementing functionality for the control via web of the inverter and the PV plant, currently offered from the Remote SunwayTM software. For having the sun always at hand!
