Founded in November 2009, the Italian Photovoltaic Academy project aims to positively exploit and promote the excellence of “Made in Italy” technologies, at home and abroad, on the photovoltaic market. It involves the main players in the sector: the academic world and researchers, companies, organisations and the most authoritative experts in the renewable energy sector, with the objective of providing a concrete response to the growing need for knowledge and a comparison of scientific experiments and applied technologies. With the participation of major Italian companies operating in the renewable energy field, the Italian Photovoltaic Academy promotes cultural events and initiatives in Italy and abroad.

ASIF: Asociación de la Industria Fotovoltaica.
General aims: to bring together companies involved in the photovoltaic industry in Spain, to collaborate in promoting and spreading the use of solar generated electricity and to stimulate job creation in the photovoltaic panel installation sector. To develop shared sector interests in safeguarding the environment and to favour and coordinate standardisation and homologation of solar generated electricity products with view to guaranteeing quality, safety and low environmental impact. To represent the various associated companies in relations with public and private bodies at national, independent and local levels. To coordinate joint action with regard to European bodies and in other geographical contexts, as well as to promote synergies and reciprocal collaboration with other associations or bodies pursuing similar ends, including through federation or association therewith.
Assosolare, the National Association of the Photovoltaic Industry, has more than eighty associates and a dynamic structure dedicated to development of important projects for promotion of the photovoltaic industry in Italy.
The Association is recognised at institutional level as an authoritative voice in the discussion of all provisions under promulgation, and it represents the special needs of the photovoltaic sector with regard to all the relevant players. Assosolare is committed to creating national and local legislation that favours real development of the market, in line with the laws already existing in other European countries.
The Canadian Solar Industries Association was formed in 1978 to serve the interests of Canada's solar thermal industry, and was known as the CSIA. The Canadian Photovoltaic Industries Association (CPIA) was formed in 1989 to represent the interests of the new PV industry. Due to cutbacks of financial support from the federal government in the early 1990s the two associations, with common goals and utilizing the same energy source as the basis of their technologies, joined together in 1992 to promote the professional and practical use of solar technologies in Canada. CSIA merged with CPIA in 1992, and the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA) has existed in this form since then.
With over 230 Members drawn from across the entire solar photovoltaic (PV) sector, the European Photovoltaic Industry Association is the world’s largest photovoltaic industry association. EPIA Members are present throughout the whole value-chain: from silicon, cells and module production to systems development and PV electricity generation as well as marketing and sales. EPIA’s mission is to deliver a distinct and valuable service driven from the strength of a single photovoltaic voice.
